Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Summary

  • Unit conversions run locally in your browser — we do not receive the values you type.
  • No account is required and we do not ask for personal details to use the tools.
  • We may display ads through Google AdSense; ad partners may use cookies as described below.

ConvertUnitOnline (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates convertunitonline.com. This policy describes how information is — and is not — handled when you visit the site or use our converters.

How the converters work

Every unit conversion on ConvertUnitOnline is performed client-side in your web browser using JavaScript. When you convert length, weight, temperature, cooking amounts, or any other supported quantity, the math runs on your device. We do not operate a service that receives, stores, or processes the numbers you enter into the conversion fields.

What we do not collect through the tools

During normal use of the converters, we do not collect:

  • Measurement values, unit selections, or conversion results you enter or view
  • Names, email addresses, or login credentials (no account is offered)
  • Payment details (the site is free to use)

Because calculations happen in your browser, your inputs remain on your device unless you copy them or navigate away yourself.

Server and hosting logs

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically log technical data when you request a page — for example, IP address, browser type, referring URL, and request time. These logs help keep the site online and secure. They are not used to inspect the content of your conversions.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

ConvertUnitOnline may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense or similar third-party ad networks. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet, to measure ad performance, and to limit repeat exposure.

You can learn how Google collects and uses data in advertising at Google’s Advertising Policies and review ad personalization settings at Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, may also use cookies to serve ads; you can opt out of personalized advertising from some providers via aboutads.info.

When ads are enabled, ad scripts may set their own cookies subject to the ad provider’s policies. We do not control those cookies directly.

Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious, aggregated analytics in the future to understand general traffic patterns (such as which converter pages are visited). If we add analytics, we will update this policy and aim to minimize identifiable data collection.

Cookies and local storage

The site may store preferences in your browser — for example, light or dark theme — using local storage. These values stay on your device. Advertising partners may set additional cookies as described in the Advertising section above.

Children’s privacy

ConvertUnitOnline is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
